   Perched on a sunny plateau Verbier is a large bustling resort with a traditional mountain atmosphere. Popular and fashionable, the resort boasts designer shops, loads of restaurants, lively bars and top clubs. The resort is best for intermediates and advanced skiers, with a vast choice of runs and some great off-piste guided skiing. Boarders are well-served, especially with the fabulous Sunrise Park and more off-piste opportunities.

The 4 Vallees ski domain, of which it part, is huge, high and generally challenging. Gondolas rise from Verbier's main street and gradually rise to the Fort glacier.
