Serfaus, and its nearby neighbours Fiss and Ladis, is a little-known resort in the Tyrol. Little-known by the British, although well-patronised by Germans, Dutch and of course Austrians. The town promotes itself as not only a ski resort suitable for beginners and intermediates, but also as a family-orientated spa and wellness resort. It has excellent facilities for children.

The town is traffic free, featuring an underground railway which runs quietly on an air cushion, and carries guests through the town to the slopes. Combined with an equipment depot right at the lifts, it means that you can stay anywhere in the resort without worrying about lumping skis and boots over a long distance to the lifts.
It's a great resort for people who want to indulge themselves with outstanding food, good skiing on well groomed, mainly red runs and those who love a good aprs-ski e.g. in George's and in the well-known Patschi Pub.
Access: Serfaus is easy to reach from the A12/E60 St Anton to Innsbruck motorway. If coming from the west (St Anton) leave at the exit for Landeck, and from the east (Innsbruck) at exit 144. Innsbruck airport is just 55 miles away. Roads are kept clear of snow except in the heaviest of snowfalls. The nearest station is at Landeck, 15 miles away.
The Serfaus ski area is linked to the villages of Fiss and Ladis, making a total of 160km of piste.
