The resort of Grand Bornand is situated in the heart of the Aravis chain, keeping its tradition of an authentic mountain village. The village is situated approx 32 km from Annecy, approx 60 km from Geneva. The resort is made up of 2 towns: the Grand Bornand Village (1000 m) and the Grand Bornand-Chinaillon (1300 m) situated at the foot of the ski runs. From the village you can reachChinaillon by road (6 km), also possible bus links, or by cable car from Rosay and from Joyere. Restaurants, shops, bars, discos, iceskating (in the village).

Access: Le Grand-Bornand is one of the most easily accessible resorts by road, just 23 km from the A40. It is also close to the airports of Lyon- St Exupry (180 km, 150 km of motorway), Geneva-Cointrin (50 km, 30 km of motorway), Annecy 34 km. Annecy is also the location of the nearest railway station (30km/19 miles) which is linked to the resort by bus or taxi and by TGV high speed train to Paris in three and a half hours. 

Annecy Sud is the motorway exit for car drivers driving to the resort on the A41 motorway. Driving time from Calais is just under 8 hours not counting stops.
