Typical holiday village in a lovely position on a terrace near the nature park Vanoise, on the route Lyon - Chambery - Torino, 5 km above Modane (railway station) and a few kilometres from the Italian border.
No motor traffic in resort, large car park at the entrance to village. Restaurants, disco, 3-wheeler cars available on hire, various events.

Access: La Norma is less than two hours drive from the international airports of Lyon 215km, Geneva 150km, Chambry 106km and Turin 115km.  Driving to La Norma on Highway A43 exit Le Freney than take the N6 main road towards Modane.  La Norma is 6km from Modane in the Haute Maurienne direction. Car rental is available at all the airports. The drive from Calais takes about 9 hours not counting stops.

For train travellers there is an overnight train from Paris to Modane, the nearest railway station which is  6km from La Norma.  Regular daily bus service connects with the resort.
