The Italian Adriatic Sea separates Italy from its Eastern neighbours, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania and Greece. The Italian Adriatic coastline extends all the way from Trieste in the North to Puglia, the heel of Italy, in the South. As well as some superb coastal scenery some of Italy's most ancient and historic cities are found along the Adriatic coast. From Trieste itself, past Venice, Ravenna and Rimini in the North-East down to Bari and Brindisi in the South, history and the more relaxing pleasures of beach holidays exist side by side.

Most of the Eurocamp campsites are to be found on the Northern Adriatic between Venice and Trieste. This stretch of coastline is blessed with fine sandy beaches, perfect for all the family, with great swimming in the warm waters of the Adriatic. Other campsites are situated a little inland, close to the hills of the Veneto district, famous for its vineyards, many of which offer vineyard tours and tastings. And if you tire of the sea and sand then visit Venice, one of the few places in the world which is truly a must-see. Its spectacular lagoon setting and the beauty of its architecture make this an unforgettable experience. Or there's Ravenna with its fantastic and astonishingly well-preserved mosaics. A camping holiday in the Adriatic really does offer something for everyone.
